If you wanna stay right in the French quarter, and I certainly don’t recommend this for everybody, this is a sweet oasis. Charming, clean, quiet-ish with earplugs with bourbon street above away and a lively bar downstairs. We love the bar Peychauds downstairs. Serious cocktails and great bartender and ambiance. The courtyard is lovely. We even took advantage of the sister hotel in the garden district, the Chloe, and use their pool one afternoon. I don’t know if I would stay in the French Quarter again, but if I did, I would certainly choose the Celestine.

My wife and I stayed at the Celestine for our elopement. Everything was fantastic from the central location to the amazing staff to the to the comfy-cozy room. A huge shout-out to Johnny the GM amd Alex the bar manager who took our stay from fabulous to magical; letting us have our ceremony in the Celestine 's intimate courtyard and were also so gracious to sign as our witnesses! Along with Gentry and Zari to round out the outstanding staff roster, our stay was like the New Orleans version of the Grand Budapest Hotel in all the best ways. We will be back!

Oh Celestine, I wanted to love you. My boyfriend and I had stumbled across this hotel while visiting its bar, Peychaud's. We had amazing cocktails out in their quaint courtyard. Just steps off Bourbon, it's the perfect location to walk around and explore the French Quarter. Check-in was a breeze, and everyone was polite and welcoming. It was very quiet, enough for us to question whether we were the only guests staying there. We were handed our key (yes, a physical key on a keychain! loved that so much), tarot card drink coupons and shown to our room. We stayed in room #2 and our first impressions were mixed. We had perused The Celestine's Instagram heavily and were enchanted by the photos and videos of the rooms. While we knew what we didn't book, we also weren't fully prepared for what we had booked. (I went back and looked again, the room we got has zero pictures on their IG). The room was a lot smaller than we anticipated, with enough room around the bed to shimmy about. There was a single dresser with 2 wide drawers and 2 smaller ones. I typically avoid unpacking and using hotel dressers, but it was necessary here since there was really no way to readily access my luggage. The closet was tiny and in the restroom. It contained a luggage stand, but there was no place to set it up within the room. The restroom served its purpose, my only qualm being that the shower was one of those half-glass showers where you're exposed to cold air and water splashes out onto the floor. It wasn't all negative, though. The bed was perfect, and its linens were soft and luxurious. The AC unit worked great, along with the ceiling fan (which are a must for a place like New Orleans). The room was unique and beautifully embraced that French Quarter charm. The included WiFi worked well enough to stream shows on the TV. The minibar was adorable and well stocked with a vast variety of things. Despite being so close to Bourbon Street, the only real "noise" we heard from it was the faint music from Tropical Isle a few doors down. Surprisingly, we had more noise from the slamming of the bathroom door to Peychaud's bar that was on the other side of the wall from us. So, I guess the big question now is will we return to The Celestine? Maybe. When originally booking, we felt the price was good for a boutique hotel in the French Quarter. After actually staying for 5 nights, I would say that the price was fair, at best. It's really just a few rooms, a courtyard and a bar. There are no real amenities except for complimentary drip coffee (that was always lukewarm). Parking is nearly $50 a night. There's no pool (which we were fully aware of) but were offered to use the one at their sister hotel The Chloe, which is about a 15 minute drive across town. So maybe that "maybe" is actually a no - we probably won't return for the price we paid.

This was my first time coming to see New Orleans and I must say, this stay made the whole trip. I loved this cute little hotel. The outside area was gorgeous and we could hear jazz music playing in the mornings. Ian was so helpful checking us in and I would come back just for his hospitality alone. His coffee was also pretty great!!! So thank you for a wonderful stay and special shoutout to Ian.

The Celestine is now our favorite hotel in New Orleans. The location was perfect, and Ian was our go-to for everything! Ian made our trip extra special, and we were already rebooking and planning our next stay before we left. Ian was friendly, knowledgeable, quick to provide recommendations, and a pleasure to talk with. We went with another couple, and we had a balcony overlooking the courtyard, and our friend's balcony overlooked the street. We enjoyed having drinks on the balcony and people-watching when we needed downtime. The courtyard quickly became one of our favorite spots to start our day and wind down at night. I would highly recommend staying at The Celestine. We had turn-down service nightly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the amenities of a new hotel but with the character and history that you would expect to find in New Orleans.

I stayed here with my husband a couple of months ago and LOVED our stay. The staff was wonderful and attentive the entire time throughout our stay. Ian was especially knowledgeable about the city and the history of New Orleans. He also provided us with many interesting activities and places to check out that you would only know from a local, which elevated our experience greatly. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to New Orleans!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Celestine! My partner and I brought my parents from FL to New Orleans for my dad’s birthday, and it was the perfect blend of French Quarter energy and peaceful retreat. The staff were all warm and welcoming, and the bartenders fantastic—especially the one working Sunday afternoon, who mixed a delicious happy hour punch and shared both the hotel’s history and great recommendations for our last day. Her love for her hometown was contagious, and it’s those types of genuine interactions that made the trip unforgettable for my dad. The rooms were gorgeous, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was pure bliss. I especially loved starting each morning with a latte from the on-site coffee bar and the sound of jazz drifting in from the courtyard. I was looking for a place that went beyond a standard hotel and felt truly unique to the city's character, and Celestine is it. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for such a special celebration.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Celestine. The staff were friendly, we loved the atmosphere, the room was gorgeous, the complimentary coffee in the morning was great, and it was overall an amazing experience and we think the best hotel we've stayed in. We stayed in a courtyard room and the noise from bourbon street didn't bother us. It was a great location too and so easy to get everywhere
